Deep Cleansing
Start off the morning by cleansing and rejuvenating skin with a dermatologist approved deep cleanser. Switching from a detergent soap to a face wash will present immediate results. If regular breakouts are a problem, use a cleanser formulated for acne prone skin containing salicylic acid, such as, Neutrogena® Men Skin Clearing™ Face Wash -- designed exclusively for men. Consider using a facial scrub that contains gentle exfoliants and conditioners to remove dead skin and soften the hair.

Intelligent Shaving
Poor shaving habits often lead to problem skin. Warm water, a sharp razor and a dermatologist approved shave cream or gel can significantly improve the quality of the skin. In addition, a shave cream that deposits salicylic acid into the skin can help treat and even prevent bumps, ingrown hairs and breakouts.

Regular Moisturizing
Used daily on dampened skin, a dermatologist approved moisture cream will significantly aid in protecting skin from damage caused by dryness. Also, well-moisturized skin will result in a much smoother and more effective shaving process.

Healthy Lifestyle
Following these tips will result in a noticeable change in skin quality:
• Stay out of the sun during peak hours from 10 am to 2 pm. When in the sun, use a sunscreen with an SPF 15 or higher
• Avoid smoking and excessive drinking
• Exercise at least three times a week. It has been proven that increased capillary capability and delivery of oxygen to the tissues tremendously helps in keeping the skin look more youthful
• Eat a balanced diet. Avoid high glycemic foods, such as white rice and bread, and minimize the intake of fatty foods
• Drink plenty of water. Many experts agree that drinking six to eight glasses a day will not only help preserve skin's elasticity, but also help prevent dehydration
• Get seven to eight hours of sleep every night
